New ColDesi production system speeds up DTF finishing

ColDesi has launched the AP360, a fully integrated 6-station carousel production system built for high-volume apparel decorators, contract printers, fulfilment companies, and growing DTF businesses.

For most apparel decorators, the bottleneck isn’t printing transfers – it’s applying them. Manual presses require operators to load garments, position transfers, press, peel film, finish-press, and unload by hand: all manual processes that add to labour costs. The AP360 turns that process into a continuous, automated workflow, essentially automating the most labour-intensive stages of heat transfer application, reaching production speeds of 350+ shirts per hour.

The system features dual 16×20″ industrial pneumatic heat presses with cast aluminium plates for even heat distribution, plus a built-in post-peel finishing press, adjustable pneumatic pressure and press speed controls. A PLC touchscreen interfaces with automatic, semi-automatic, and manual modes, plus digital temperature controls.

Operating a continuous six-station carousel workflow, the AP360 keeps garments moving continuously through every stage, supporting output above 350 garments per hour with consistent transfer quality.

From loading and positioning the garments on the platen, to aligning the transfer placement for precise registration, every step is fully automated. A primary pneumatic press applies heat, pressure, and dwell time, before the carrier film is removed/peeled automatically. A secondary finishing press then improves adhesion and durability before an automated finisher removes the garments for packaging or fulfilment.
