HP showcases new integrated AI production solution
HP Large Format has launched its new integrated AI production solution at PRINTING United Expo 2026, which pairs new AI capabilities in HP PrintOS Production Hub with the popular HP Latex R530 AI Printer, represents what HP claims to be ‘the first compact, all-in-one rigid-and-flexible large-format printer powered by both cloud and on-edge AI’.
At the forefront of the new solution are enhanced AI capabilities in HP PrintOS Production Hub, including AI Order Intake, which turns a customer email or file into an order in seconds and reduces average order creation time by 90%. Another clever new feature is the AI Upscale capability, which essentially allows operators to take lower resolution or poorer quality files in, because the systems uses AI to approximate and backfill the supporting pixelation, creating a high resolution quality version of the original image, in seconds.
Similarly, using the AI Automatic Print Mode Selection on the HP Latex R530 AI Printer enables the operator to choose the optimal trade-off between quality and throughput, while Direct Job Submission connects Production Hub directly to print for eligible jobs.
Beyond AI capabilities, the HP Latex R530 AI Printer allows print service providers to expand into higher-margin rigid applications without sacrificing roll-printing flexibility. Its all-in-one architecture switches seamlessly between rigid and flexible media, and the HP High Control Belt System prints directly on rigid substrates—reducing material waste associated with traditional Print & Mount workflows.
