Tuesday, May 6, 2025 AGFA unveils four new printers at FESPA Berlin Arnaud Calleja, VP Digital Printing Agfa has unveiled four new inkjet printers designed to address growing demand for speed, automation, and material efficiency in the sign and display, packaging, and display graphics sectors. The launches underscore Agfa’s integrated offering across hardware, ink, software, and global support—positioning the company to help customers improve output capacity while advancing environmental goals. High-Throughput Additions to the Tauro and Onset Series The two most prominent additions are the Jeti Tauro H3300 XUHS and the Onset Panthera FB3216, both aimed at high-volume production environments. The Jeti Tauro H3300 XUHS is the fastest model in Agfa’s hybrid Tauro series to date, delivering print speeds of up to 1,280 m²/hour. Capable of handling both rigid and flexible substrates, it includes motorised media feed guides, advanced automation, and continuous printing capabilities for uninterrupted operation. It is designed to support 24/7 use and includes Agfa’s Thin Ink Layer technology, which reduces ink consumption while maintaining output quality. The Onset Panthera FB3216 expands Agfa’s presence in the flatbed printer segment. With full flatbed architecture and LED curing technology, the Panthera is built for applications requiring high image quality, such as retail point-of-sale, corrugated displays, and other short-run packaging formats. Energy-efficient operation and smart automation features are key selling points, particularly for print service providers aiming to increase productivity without expanding their footprint. Expansion of the Anapurna Ciervo Family In the mid-range market, Agfa has added two new models to its Anapurna Ciervo series—the Ciervo H2500 and Ciervo H2050—joining the previously released H3200. These additions reflect Agfa’s intent to offer scalable solutions to customers with varying format and capacity requirements. Both new Ciervo models feature optional corrugated media feed guides to facilitate accurate handling of packaging substrates. The H2500, with a print width of 2.5 metres, supports production speeds up to 59 m²/hour in Production Mode and allows for the simultaneous feeding of up to four boards—improving throughput for busy production floors. Both the H2500 and H2050 use six-color plus white UV LED inks and support a wide range of rigid and flexible materials. Agfa is also celebrating the 20th anniversary of the Anapurna product family at FESPA 2025, marking two decades of development in hybrid inkjet technology. Software Enhancements to Support Operational Efficiency Agfa is also showcasing Asanti 7, the latest version of its workflow software. Designed to streamline production and reduce waste, the software includes advanced nesting and layout features, as well as a new carbon footprint tracking tool. The sustainability feature integrates with Dataline’s MultiPress MIS/ERP system to provide real-time tracking of material usage and environmental impact—aligning with broader industry trends toward data-driven sustainability reporting. Focus on Sustainability and Integrated Supply Chain Agfa’s messaging at FESPA 2025 places strong emphasis on sustainability. The company highlights its vertically integrated approach—designing and manufacturing its own equipment, inks, software, and support services—as a differentiator that enables tighter control over quality, efficiency, and environmental performance. Agfa’s combined offering aims to help print service providers standardise production, reduce material and energy usage, and respond more flexibly to market demands. With increasing pressure on businesses to deliver more with fewer resources, Agfa’s integrated ecosystem—covering equipment, consumables, software, and service—is positioned to support long-term operational resilience.
