PacPrint Roland DG receives 2025 BLI Pick Award for TrueVIS XP-640

During a formal presentation ceremony, Roland DG Australia Managing Director, John Wall, received the company’s BLI Pick Award at PacPrint. The company was awarded the 2025 BLI Pick Award from Keypoint Intelligence for its TrueVIS XP-640 wide-format inkjet printer.

The award recognises the XP-640 in the category “Outstanding Gamut Expansion Eco-Solvent / Latex 54”/64” Printer” after rigorous image quality, productivity, and usability testing.
Held at Roland DG’s stand in The Dome, Sydney Showground, the short ceremony was officiated by Toru Yamauchi, Director and Head of APAC/Japan at Keypoint Intelligence, who presented the award to Wall.
Yamaucho said, “We tested several products in this category, and the Roland DG machine XP-640 had the best performance overall, especially in print quality; that was outstanding.”

David Sweetnam, Director of EMEA/APAC Research & Lab Services at Keypoint Intelligence, says the XP-640’s performance is unmatched.
“What impressed us most about the XP-640 was its overwhelming image quality. In particular, the wide colour gamut and colour reproduction exceeded all other printers we have tested,” he said.
Sweetnam also noted the printer’s exceptional contrasts, vivid colours, and smooth gradations.

Roland DG says the BLI Pick Award reinforces what Keypoint Intelligence has described as “a new standard” in wide-format print quality. Wall expands on the point, “The XP-640 is built on many years of technology upgrades and improvements, using everything that we've learned over the years to produce a top-aligned product that stands above the rest.”
Powered by CMYKLkOrGrRe inks, the XP-640 was measured with a recorded average of 780,415 colours, maintaining high colour fidelity even in high-speed print modes. During PANTONE colour matching tests for 15 notoriously difficult corporate logo colours, the printer delivered an average Delta E00 of just 2.1—a result described as “stunning.” It was the first device in Keypoint’s testing history to achieve less than Delta E00 4.0 across all tested colours.

Roland DG says the XP-640 offers easy-to-use setup functions that improve media loading accuracy and efficiency, enhancing overall productivity. It ships with the newly developed, Mac-compatible VersaWorks RIP software and integrates with the Roland DG Connect cloud-based platform, offering seamless output for users of all experience levels.
The printer is on the stand at PacPrint 2025 all week, giving visitors a firsthand look at Roland DG's latest award-winning technology.
