Thursday, May 22, 2025 Mimaki debuts UV DTF and Eco-Solvent Solutions at PacPrint 2025 Mimaki has used PacPrint 2025 to debut several new printers into the Australian market, including the UJV300DTF-75 its first roll-to-roll UV DTF printer. Also on display are the TexTek compact vertical powder applicator and dryer for DTF workflows, and the newly upgraded CJV200 eco-solvent printer range. The company says the line-up reflects its continued focus on product versatility, operational efficiency, and sustainable ink innovation. The new UJV300DTF-75 printer is a compact, high-performing solution for custom decoration of hard goods including drink bottles, bike helmets, hard hats, plastics, metals, and timber products. The printer uses a dual-film system (A and B films) with varying adhesive strengths suited to different applications. The format allows users to print multiple artworks in one run—from full-colour digital images to single-colour logos—across continuous rolls. The application process is similar to applying a premium sticker: peel the backing, adhere the transfer to the product, then remove the carrier, leaving only the UV ink and varnish bonded to the surface. First introduced globally at FESPA Berlin in May, the printer made its local debut at PacPrint, offering small and medium businesses a streamlined and space-efficient way to enter the promotional hard-goods market. For textile DTF printing Mimaki has introduced the TexTek vertical powder applicator and dryer designed to reduce space requirements and simplify operation. The unit feeds media vertically rather than horizontally, minimising its footprint and allowing for more efficient use of floor space. The enclosed unit features an integrated filtration system and supports continuous printing. The web can remain in place overnight, removing the need for manual feeding at the start or end of each shift. Mimaki has also launched the latest iteration of its eco-solvent printer line, the CJV200 series. The new model features upgraded SS22 ink, replacing the earlier SS21 formulation. The SS22 offers improved environmental performance through reduced chemical content, while maintaining high durability, strong adhesion, and vibrant colour. The printer includes upgraded printheads for improved reliability and long-term consistency. Available in widths from 750mm to 1.6 metres, the CJV200 is designed for both entry-level users and high-volume professional operations. Pricing for the series is structured to suit a range of business sizes, with a cutting module available that upgrades the unit from print-only to integrated print-and-cut capability. Across the products on stand, and in its new releases Mimaki has focused on reducing environmental impact, improving workflow efficiency, and making advanced print technologies more accessible. The updates to ink formulations and machine design support a more sustainable production model for printers.
