Thursday, May 22, 2025 Celmac showcases a range of workflow hardware at PacPrint 2025 Celmac is showcasing a wide range of hardware solutions at PacPrint 2025, with a clear focus on end-to-end production workflows from printing to finishing. The stand highlights new technologies and robust equipment from leading global brands, tailored for the signage, display, and print sectors. A highlight on the stand is the HP Latex 830, a 1600mm roll-to-roll printer engineered for high-speed production at around 25 square metres per hour. It uses HP’s water-based Latex inks, offering an environmentally considerate solution with instant-dry prints that are ready for immediate lamination or cutting. The unit features front-loading capability for space efficiency, a large touchscreen display, and an integrated white ink set known for its durability and non-yellowing performance. Supporting the print process, Celmac is also demonstrating the Neolt XY trimmer, a finishing tool that automatically trims both X and Y axes using a sensor-detected registration mark. This solution addresses bottlenecks in post-print workflows, especially for high-volume sign and poster producers. For lamination, the Kala Mistral laminator is on display. This entry-level yet robust model accommodates 100-metre rolls and includes features such as gas-assisted lifting, slitting knives for pre- and post-lamination trimming, and an auto-calibrating roller to ensure consistent pressure and alignment. Manufactured in Asia, the laminator benefits from the well-established Kala brand and its service and warranty support. Celmac is also presenting the Kala flatbed applicator, designed for mounting self-adhesive vinyl onto substrates like ACM, coreflute, and panel boards. This electrically controlled unit (not reliant on air compressors) maintains even pressure across the bed, and includes features like integrated LED lighting, a KeenCut cutter, and modular sizing up to nine metres. In the hybrid print category, the HP Latex R530 is being demonstrated. This all-in-one printer handles both roll and rigid substrates with a print width of 1600mm. Ideal for constrained spaces, it requires only standard single-phase power and features a quick changeover between media types. The R530 is positioned as a compact solution for businesses seeking rigid print capability without the footprint or power demands of high-end models. Also on show is the iEcho BK4, a 1.6m x 2.6m flatbed cutting table with optional router functionality. This solution is designed for accurate digital die-cutting and routing, and supports automation through dual gantry options for high-speed workflows. It aligns well with fast output printers, providing seamless finishing integration. Inside the closed room in the centre of the stand, visitors can view the new generation Roland DG Dimense, an enhanced structural inkjet printer now built entirely on a Roland engine. Unlike the earlier generation printer developed prior to Roland DG’s merger with Dimense and limited to printing only on proprietary dimensional media, the new model supports a wider range of substrates, including non-dimensional materials. This is made possible by the integration of Roland’s resin-based ink technology alongside the structural ink, allowing users to print both textured and flat applications on a single device. The printer is also significantly smaller, more energy-efficient, and lower maintenance than its predecessor, and is compatible with the Versaworks RIP and an expanded range of specialist media. Rounding out the hardware line-up, Celmac is exhibiting the newly released Epson SureColor S9160, a wide-format eco-solvent printer replacing the SC-8600. The S9160 includes an expanded ink set—cyan, magenta, yellow, black, light cyan, light magenta, red, orange, and green—with optional white or metallic silver. It features 3.5 picolitre drop sizes for high-definition output and exceptional Pantone colour matching, including Delta E values as low as 0.2 for Pantone Orange.
