Tuesday, September 30, 2025 Epson to launch three new inkjet printheads with enhanced UV ink compatibility Epson is launching three new inkjet printheads to meet increasing demand for digital printing in the industrial and commercial print sectors. The latest products employ Epson's unique PrecisionCore technology, enabling superb print quality and high productivity. The new S3200-U1-2 and S3200-U3-2 offer the same features and ejection performance as previous models with an improved structural design that expands their compatibility with UV inks, improves their reliability and durability, and ensures stable print quality even during prolonged use. This allows for safe use in a broader range of industrial printing applications. Printer manufacturers using the earlier S3200-U1 and S3200-U3 can easily upgrade their printers by replacing them with the next-generation heads with equivalent ejection performance. Main features of the S3200-U1-2 and S3200-U3-2 • A nozzle array with a print width of 120.2 mm that enables high productivity while delivering high image quality and definition at 600 dpi for one colour • Improved reliability and durability for stable print quality. Following the release of the water-based ink-compatible model D3000-A1R in 2022, Epson is now launching a new print head, the D3000-U1R, that supports UV ink. The D3000-U1R, designed for the commercial printing and label and package printing markets, provides up to 1200-dpi resolution to render fine detail. A mechanism that recirculates ink near the nozzles keeps the temperature of the ink uniform, inhibiting the drying of ink in the nozzles and the sedimentation of ink ingredients, ensuring stable printing. This printhead also supports printing with various inks, including quick-drying inks, and reduces the frequency of maintenance, including head cleaning. Printer manufacturers already using the D3000-A1R can expand their printer lineup without significantly changing the configuration of their equipment. Main Features of the D3000-U1R • Exceptional image quality and definition at 1200 dpi for one colour. • Stable printing is enabled by a mechanism that recirculates ink near the nozzles. • A diagonal external shape allows scalable arrangement without widening the head row.
