Monday, January 19, 2026 Fiery XF 9 uses AI to unlock high-value large-format print Fiery has announced the launch of Fiery XF 9, the latest release of its software RIP, colour management, and workflow solution, which it says is designed to streamline large-format print production. “Large format print demands consistent, top-tier output. With our award-winning Fiery XF 9 RIP software, achieving excellent results at all times is no longer the complex challenge it used to be—and it’s all driven through Fiery Command WorkStation, the same interface print teams rely on across commercial and industrial print. That unified experience is what delivers speed, ease, and reliability customers expect,” says John Henze, vice president, sales and marketing, Fiery. Fiery XF 9 won the 2025 Pinnacle Award for best large-format RIP software. The new release adds capabilities that Fiery says unlock new levels of value from large-format print operations. Fiery XF 9 is compatible with Fiery FreeForm Create 2.0, the Pinnacle Award-winning variable data printing (VDP) software that enables fast, accessible personalised printing. Large-format print providers can use a single, unified VDP creation process across all Fiery Driven printers, with no additional tools to learn and no device-specific workflows to manage. The result is easier creation of targeted, versioned materials with custom images, text, and barcodes that can drive stronger customer engagement, with greater flexibility and fewer bottlenecks in production. Fiery FreeForm Create 2.0 is free to download from the Fiery website. Fiery XF 9 is now compatible with Fiery ColorGuard, the cloud-based colour control solution that enables the production of consistent colour all day, every day. ColorGuard provides the tools to verify colour quality, quickly correct deviations, evaluate colour performance over time, and prove colour compliance, ensuring the colour quality large-format customers demand is delivered. ColorGuard is available at no cost in 2026. Fiery XF 9 offers AI-powered print bleed, which the company says automatically generates realistic bleed to create professional, gallery-style canvas-wrap edges. This aims to avoid print quality issues caused by missing bleed, which it says makes the creation of final products fast and straightforward.
