Mutoh Launches New XpertJet 1641SR Pro II Eco-Solvent Printer

Mutoh has announced the launch of the new XpertJet 1641SR Pro II, a 64” eco-solvent printer delivering high productivity, excellent image quality and low-emission MS51 inks for professional sign and graphics applications.

The new model includes Mutoh’s latest AccuFine HD Pro print head with the innovative i-Screen EX System, delivering productivity of up to 17.6 sqm/h alongside exceptional image quality.

The AccuFine HD Pro print head features eight nozzle rows, with nozzle-row pairing to improve ink landing accuracy for each colour. Combined with Mutoh’s i-Screen EX print control system—which applies advanced control effects across print passes—this supports smoother gradations, improved colour uniformity and finer detail reproduction, while maintaining stable output across a wide range of print speeds.

Mutoh’s Wide Colour Choice input profile expands the achievable colour gamut, particularly in dark areas, delivering deeper blacks and more vivid reds. Mutoh says this makes the printer well-suited to high-impact graphics, vehicle wraps, and retail signage.

The MS51 eco-solvent ink is UL GREENGUARD Gold certified, GBL-free and carries no hazard pictograms under applicable classification. It delivers vibrant colour output, fast drying, excellent weather resistance and durable scratch performance, supporting comfortable production environments where low emissions are a priority. MS51 has also been evaluated against recognised low-emitting VOC schemes and requirements, including AgBB, A+ (France), Belgium VOC and M1, and can support projects pursuing BREEAM or LEED credits. Designed for long-term outdoor applications, the ink also offers easy maintenance and safe operator handling.

Equipped with Mutoh’s DropMaster 2 and FeedMaster technology, the XpertJet 1641SR Pro II automatically adjusts bi-directional alignment and media feed accuracy, reducing setup time. Features such as Media Tracker and Nozzle Area Select further improve operational efficiency and help minimise downtime.
