Currie Group has confirmed its participation at Visual Impact Expo, 2nd to 4th September, Sydney Showgrounds, affirming its longstanding commitment to Australia’s Sign & Display market. Whilst confirming a Currie Group team will be on hand to showcase samples and technology from EFI, Epson, Elitron and Neolt Factory, as well as from HP Indigo Digital presses to Horizon finishing solutions, Currie Group’s focus will be on the Canon Colorado M Series and specifically on the new 3.4m Canon Colorado XL hybrid graphics production printer.

Paul Whitehead, General Manager Commercial/Sign & Display for Currie Group, says: “The Canon Colorado has earned its reputation as a true ‘Business in a Box’ because it gives printers the ability to produce a broad range of applications from a single platform. From signage and wall graphics through to labels, decals, window graphics and premium interior décor, the Colorado opens the door to new revenue streams without adding complexity.”

“At Visual Impact, we’re excited to demonstrate how Canon’s UVgel technology helps businesses do more with less – less labour, less manual handling, less waiting time and less waste. Instant-dry output, exceptional productivity and outstanding application versatility make the Colorado a smart investment for businesses looking to grow profitably.”

“While the new Canon Colorado XL will not be on the stand, the capabilities of this new 3.4m hybrid graphics production printer series will be on display and visitors will be able to touch and feel a selection of printed samples that demonstrate this versatile new printer’s applications on both flexible and rigid media, again drawing on the power of UVgel in a larger format.”

Whitehead adds: “Whilst the FLXfinish (Gloss or Matte) and White without Worry features are also part of this powerful UVgel system, it also features a TRIdrive which aligns misaligned media on the fly, Full Beam Curing for consistent imaging and the new Canon UVgel 850 printheads that have over 4,000 nozzles to enable a light print carriage.”

Whitehead is also quick to confirm that Currie Group carries an exceptional array of products, representing EFI, Epson, Elitron and Neolt Factory for the Sign & Display market and everything from HP Indigo Digital Presses to Horizon finishing solutions and more, as well as carrying the technical know-how and service smarts to really help its customers optimise their businesses, whatever size they are.

He concludes: “Overall, we see that suppliers are increasingly engineering their products for the applications that matter most to brand-driven customers, with versatility built-in to make them perfectly suited to a wide range of premium applications. We’re also increasingly seeing AI being considered or used in the optimisation of these systems, whether that’s to deliver insights through cloud-based graphics, or related to processed, ‘intelligent’ repeatability, applied to built-in automation features which essentially ‘learn as they go’.
