Ricoh rolls out ‘inkerching’ campaign at PrintEx19

Roland’s PrintEX19  'inkerching' campaign will expand on innovation and investment as it offers visitors a myriad of business possibilities and support (through “discovery sessions”) and showcases a stable of new products.

These new products include:

Ricoh Pro TF6250 large format UV flatbed printer:

The compact 2.5m x 1.3m system is designed to help the sign and display, graphic arts and industrial sectors capture new industrial decoration, internal decoration, packaging, screen printing and personalisation market opportunities.

Built on the same industrial structure as the Ricoh Pro T7210, it assures productivity, versatility and high image quality with Ricoh’s powerful drop on demand printheads. It features impressive print speeds, one-touch automated daily maintenance and diverse substrate flexibility supported by carefully designed ink sets offering a wider colour gamut than the Pro T7210.

The Pro TF6250 has true flatbed architecture, with a moving carriage and gantry, and an industry-leading production speed of up to 64.6m2/h. It delivers incredible media flexibility to accommodate substrates up to 110mm in thickness. LED technology keeps power consumption down and cures at low temperatures, allowing for use of thinner substrates without the risk of melting or warping.

Maintenance and usage are easy too, helping printers get the most out of their technology investment. One-touch automated daily maintenance cleans and purges printheads to help ensure optimum uptime. Registration pins help keep precise registration, and four individual vacuum zones hold media in place regardless of shape and size. Additionally, an auto-sensor adjusts the printheads to the correct height to maintain accuracy, and full-bleed printing capabilities eliminate the need for trimming.

RICOH Pro L5160 latex roll-to-roll wide format printer:

The Ricoh Pro L5160 latex roll-to-roll large format printer is designed to deliver broader job capabilities, as well as faster short run production and elevated productivity. The printing system delivers increased performance, while also reducing maintenance requirements and outstanding quality.

The Pro L5160 prints at segment-leading speeds of up to 44sqm per hour in outdoor standard mode and 25sqm per hour in indoor standard mode and produces applications up to 1,200 x 1,200 dpi.

Additional features include automated maintenance, a durable design, Ricoh’s GREENGUARD-certified latex inks and industrial-grade Ricoh print heads. Its curing technology ensures jobs produced are output ready for finishing as soon as they are printed while a three-way intelligent heater helps prevent melting or warping of thinner substrates.

With CMYK and CMYK plus white options available, high ink opacity and adhesion enable the production of crisp, clear prints for a variety of applications on substrates that range from wall coverings to window graphics to backlit day/night signage.

Substrate flexibility is built in with support for 2 and 3- inch roll cores up to 200gsm and media up to 64 inches wide.

RICOH Ri 1000 Direct to Garment printer:

The Ri 1000 Direct to Garment (DTG) printer was launched in response to the growing demand for easy to use, efficient and affordable garment decoration solutions, and joins the Ri 100 and Ri 6000 in Ricoh’s rapidly expanding DTG portfolio of solutions.

Faster than the Ri 3000 it replaces, the Ri 1000 delivers greater print quality with enhanced resolution of 1200 dpi x 1200 dpi and supports CMYK plus white ink to ensure dazzling results on fabric of any colour.

The Ri 1000’s application flexibility is supported by a new pre-treatment liquid -suitable for 100 percent light polyester and polycotton blends. This opens up greater opportunities for garments and textile products in a number of sectors including sports.

Quick operation and production versatility are made easy with the ability to smoothly switch between multiple styles of platens up to 406.4 mm x 508 mm. The Ri 1000’s magnetic mechanism enables the platens to easily snap on and off without the need for additional tools. This flexibility supports continuous production and a wide range of print capabilities from children's sizes to super wide designs.

Minimal maintenance with customisable cleaning options maximises production uptime. For those maintenance tasks that aren’t automated, the device’s 7-inch touchscreen display provides smart alerts notifying operators when to perform manual maintenance tasks.
