Does your adhesive stick? (Part 2)

Having a basic understanding of adhesives, the different types and how they work is incredibly useful when it comes to choosing the right self-adhesive film. Often, we consider the properties of the top sheet in determining a film’s suitability but ultimately what holds a graphic in place for the duration of the campaign is the adhesive. The adhesive also impacts on the installation process and how easily and quickly a film can be applied. At the end of a campaign, how a film removes, whether it leaves residue or damages the surface, is all about the adhesive.

Every application is different. Read the fine print on any technical data sheet and you will see that the responsibility for determining the suitability of a product for your intended application is yours, and yours alone. Warranties only cover product defects.  If a product fails because it is not compatible with the substrate or the environmental conditions then you will not be compensated.
