Record Numbers Attend Visual Connections Golf Day

More than 110 golfers teeing off for a round of Ambrose-style golf at the Annual Visual Connections Golf Day.

The event was held at the Pennant Hills Golf Club, consistently rated one of the best in Australia, and was a day of fun and friendly competition, with a convivial atmosphere as participants caught up with industry colleagues and friends and had the opportunity to make new connections.

This year, Team ExpoNet won, with Terry Bews, Phil Batty, Laura Slingsby and Richard Stehn narrowly edging out Team Signarama, comprising Matt Fitzpatrick, Glen Rodgers, Derek Cohen and Byron Silver.

Glen Rodgers from Team Signarama added to his winnings for the day by taking out the Straight Drive, and several Nearest the Pin prizes were also awarded. Daniel Mulvenna from Team Ferag won the second shot prize on Holes 9, 15 and 16, with Brett Burns from Team Spicers taking out the same gong for Hole 8, while NTP awards were also given to Joel Goff from Team Avery on Hole 6 and Phillip Marshall from Team Böttcher on the eighteenth hole.

The Bradman’s Award for last place went to Team Mimaki, who accepted the honour with good grace.

The camaraderie and networking extended into the evening, with more industry members joining the golfers for drinks, dinner and prize presentations in the beautiful Club Rooms overlooking the course.

The 2024 Visual Connections Golf Day was made possible by the generous sponsorship of leading companies. Manroland Goss was the Platinum Sponsor, and Mulford Australia sponsored the Drinks Cart. Gold Sponsors included ExpoNet, Gel, ORAFOL, Rowmark Australia, and Spicers. Böttcher, Get Rigged, Labels Plus, Mimaki, Roland, Sydney Showground, and Signarama sponsored novelty holes.
