Inkcups achieves GOTS 7.0 certification for seven of its inks

Inkcups has received Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS) Certification under Version 7.0 for seven inks from the SB Eco Series Eco-Friendly pad printing ink line. The seven inks are the SB Eco Light Blue 130, SB Eco Black 165, SB Eco Cool Grey 3, SB Eco Cool Grey 6, SB Eco Cool Grey 9, SB Eco PMS 295, and the SB Eco Superwhite.

The SB Eco Series is an eco-friendly pad printing ink line for tagless applications such as cotton and linen, synthetic fabrics, leather, synthetic leather, rubber, and more. Designed with sustainability in mind, the line reduces harmful chemicals and is free of Naphtha, PAH, and Cyclohexanone. It also satisfies some of the strictest industry compliance testing requirements, including Eco-Passport, CLP/GHS (EC 1272/2008), EN 71-3, Reach (EC 1907/2006), RoHS, and ISO DIS 6330.

GOTS Certification requirements ensure textiles are organic, from collecting raw materials to labelling to provide credible assurance to the customer. The standard was established by the International Working Group on Global Organic Textile Standard, an international group of stakeholder organisations and experts. It consists of strict and binding requirements pertaining to ecological and social parameters to offer consumers transparency of supply chains and ensure truly organic products throughout the supply chain.

“We are delighted to have achieved GOTS Certification for seven of our SB Eco Series Eco-Friendly pad printing inks, building on the success of 2022, when we achieved certification for four inks in the line. At Inkcups, developing innovative solutions that reduce environmental impact is a core priority. Achieving this certification is a fantastic outcome of a great deal of work and communication with our customer base. It’s a huge achievement for the entire Inkcups team,” says Joseph Shairs, Ink Manager, Inkcups.

Inkcups says it is committed to environmental responsibility.  More information about the SB Eco Series Eco-Friendly pad printing ink line and GOTS certification, is available on the Inkcups Website.
