First Survey in FESPA’s relaunched Census Now Open

FESPA has relaunched its global Print Census for 2025 with a renewed focus on delivering more frequent and targeted market insights. The first survey in the refreshed series is now open, inviting participation from printers and signmakers worldwide, including those across Australia’s sign, textile, and graphics sectors.

The Print Census, previously conducted on a three-year cycle, will now be run twice annually. Each edition will concentrate on three critical industry topics, and the results will be published in corresponding reports to provide timely, actionable intelligence.

Developed in partnership with Keypoint Intelligence, the new format is designed to reflect the evolving realities of the print industry and support businesses in making informed decisions. The inaugural survey explores sustainability, artificial intelligence (AI) in printing operations, and process automation.

“Changing the FESPA Print Census from a three-year cycle to shorter surveys every six months will help us to deliver more timely, actionable insights to our members,” says Graeme Richardson-Locke, Head of Associations & Technical Lead at FESPA. “Our new approach ensures that we’re listening more often and more clearly, making it easier for businesses to share their experiences and highlight evolving opportunities.”
The survey takes approximately 10 minutes to complete.

Australian printers are encouraged to contribute their perspective and help shape global insights into the future of specialty print.
