MUTOH launches New US81 inks for the XpertJet 1682 UR

Mutoh has launched a new US81 UV LED ink series. Specifically developed for Mutoh’s XpertJet 1682UR, US81 inks combine regulatory compliance, operator safety, and outstanding print performance.

The US81 inks are SVHC-free and TPO-free, aligning with the latest and upcoming EU REACH chemical safety regulations. Mutoh says that by using safer and more sustainable photo-initiators, it has ensured that US81 is a future-proof ink solution. 

With excellent adhesion, scratch resistance, and up to 200 per cent elongation, US81 inks are well-suited for flexible substrates, including tarpaulin, soft signage, transparent films, and multi-layer graphics. The inks also have a 12-month shelf life and are supplied in clean, operator-friendly 800 ml pouches, ensuring safe and efficient ink changes without direct contact.

The XpertJet 1682UR UV printer debuted at drupa in 2024 and was launched globally in October 2024. Mutoh confirms that the printer is now available with the new US81 inks.

Because it uses the GREENGUARD Gold-certified US81 inks, the printer is suited to producing indoor applications for environments with strict VOC requirements.
