Wednesday, October 8, 2025 Get Ready to #PrintSmart for International Print Day 2025 on October 9 Printing professionals worldwide are invited to celebrate and share their love of print across social media with the hashtag #IPD25, celebrating International Print Day on Thursday, 9 October 2025. Organisers have announced the theme as #PrintSmart, saying it showcases how print in all its forms, when paired with marketing technology, data collection, reporting, and AI, becomes more more valuable and measurable for customers and consumers. PrintSmart emphasises several concepts including integration, which combines print with digital tools, tracking, and analytics; relevance, which is creating targeted, personalised, and meaningful print experiences; value, which shows that print is intelligent, measurable, and ROI-driven; and sustainability, which encourages using innovative materials and processes to reduce waste and environmental impact. “PrintSmart is about showing the world that print is most effective when partnered with technology,” said Deborah Corn, founder of International Print Day and Principal at Print Media Centr. “For printers, it unlocks the ability to innovate, work faster, reduce waste, personalise at scale, and prove value with measurable results. It allows customers to collaborate with knowledgeable printing partners who bring the tools, data, and strategy to enhance outcomes and show how powerfully print drives engagement.” Printers can download and use an International Print Day 2025 poster designed by Craig Bower of Design That Rocks at internationalprintday.org. The poster features a dynamic QR code powered by Digital Link. This code connects users to a virtual assistant that instantly delivers insights on how to #PrintSmart, helping customers see how print and technology deliver stronger outcomes in marketing, sales, education, and communication. “Print has always delivered messages, but now it can respond,” said Paula Rivero, CEO and Co-Founder of Digital Link. “Our mission is to help the industry print smarter by transforming printed materials into interactive, data-driven conversations that inform, answer questions, build trust, and provide meaningful engagement and loyalty for businesses and brands of all sizes.” In its 11th year, International Print Day has become a global showcase for print’s creativity and innovation, generating over 200 million social impressions. Join the celebration by downloading the 2025 poster, sharing your #PrintSmart projects, and helping print the planet on October 9, 2025.
