HP releases a New HP Latex FS70W, HP Latex Productivity Kit and Enhanced HP PrintOS

HP has launched three innovations for large-format printing and signage businesses: the HP Latex FS70 W Printer, the HP Latex Productivity Kit, and an enhanced HP PrintOS Production Hub. These additions follow the launches of the HP Latex R530 Printer, the HP Latex 730 and the HP Latex 830 Printer Series.

HP says the new releases are aimed at mid- to large-sized companies under pressure to optimise margins, improve efficiency, and expand into higher-value applications. These customers face high production costs, fragmented workflows, and limited scalability, and require a platform that consistently delivers quality at speed and withstands heavy production peaks. The HP Latex FS70 W Printer and HP Latex Productivity Kit have been designed to meet these needs. By reducing workflow complexity through a unified platform, extending the lifecycle of existing devices with modular upgrades and integrating seamlessly with the HP PrintOS ecosystem, HP has released a solution that it says safeguards investment while enabling businesses to grow profitably, stay competitive in premium markets and deliver the highest quality, reliability and sustainability demanded by the market.

“The launch of the HP Latex FS70 W Printer and the HP Latex Productivity Kit marks another step in a strong year of innovation for HP,” said Daniel Martinez, SVP and Division President, HP Large Format Printing. “Following the success of the HP Latex R530 Printer and the HP Latex 730 and 830 Printer Series earlier this year, we are now extending the scalable FS platform to deliver even more growth, sustainability and efficiency for our customers. With continuous innovation through the HP PrintOS Production Hub, we’re not just delivering technology at a single point in time; we are ensuring our customers benefit from new functionality and opportunities every day.”

Succeeding the HP Latex 3X00 series, the HP Latex FS70 W Printer is HP’s most productive HP Latex printer to date, providing stunning output, robust productivity and sustainable design that scales seamlessly as businesses grow, with the HP Latex Productivity Kit in the FS70 W delivering speeds up to 117 sqm per hour across SAV, banner, wallpaper, and canvas applications. It delivers vibrant colour at 117 sqm/hr outdoors and 91 sqm/hr indoors, with a max speed up to 162 sqm/hr in outdoor mode (3-pass, six-colour, 90% ink density) on Kavalan Sunlight Weldable PVC-Free Banner and indoor mode (four-pass, six-colour, 110% ink density) on Avery Dennison 3001 and Mactac 8500, based on internal HP testing in June 2025, enabling accelerated turnaround without compromising quality. The addition of a 6L white ink cartridge allows PSPs to grow into higher-margin applications while providing confidence in unattended overnight printing, and HP PrintOS Configuration Centre ensures consistent results across fleets.

Built for high-volume efficiency, durable performance and long-term profitability, the HP Latex FS70 W Printer features enhanced unattended printing, optimised print modes, and a scalable platform ready for evolving needs. Key features include a jumbo dual roll kit, a high-capacity ink kit supporting cartridges up to 10L, and an optimised cleaning system robustly engineered to provide confidence in unattended long runs. An optional removable overcoat printhead, sold separately, will also be available for specialised laminated production, taking overcoat waste to zero. Plus, the included ink collector expands possibilities into textile printing. At the same time, seamless connection to the HP PrintOS Production Hub, compatible with HP Latex and HP Stitch printer series and offering premium features through HP Professional Print Service Plus Plans, integrates remote-control capability via HP PrintOS SyncEdge. HP says an independent comparison by Sogeti found that, unlike rival large-format software, PrintOS Production Hub lets PSPs manage order intake and printer queues on a single platform.

Sustainability remains central to HP’s innovation. The HP Latex FS70 W printer uses odourless water-based HP Latex inks, characterised by Odournet testing under VDI 3882 as weak in odour intensity and neutral in tone across multiple ink sets. These inks are certified by UL ECOLOGO for meeting stringent human-health and environmental standards and by UL GREENGUARD Gold, which confirms low chemical emissions and suitability for unrestricted room sizes such as offices and classrooms. The printer ships with 100% carton cartridges.

Additionally, customers can accelerate their sustainability journey with the HP Sustainability Amplifier program, which helps customers assess and reduce their environmental impact and gain recognition under HP’s internal sustainability framework. They can also recycle their supplies and hardware through the HP Planet Partners program, available via hp.com/recycle, which provides recycling options for consumables and hardware where the program operates.

HP introduced the HP Latex FS50 and FS60 series in 2024, establishing its commitment to providing PSPs with scalable solutions to address their growing needs and thrive in an ever-changing market. Today, HP unveiled the HP Latex Productivity Kit, purposefully designed for HP Latex FS series customers, giving them a direct path to HP Latex FS70-level performance without needing to replace their existing printers. This kit upgrades key subsystems on existing HP Latex FS50s and 60s, speeding up productivity by 30% in key applications, delivering around a 30 per cent throughput increase compared with the base FS50 or FS60—raising vinyl output from 69 sqm/h to 91 sqm/h. The kit boosts productivity, scalability, and robustness with enhanced speed, easier maintenance, and reduced downtime.

“It’s been quite remarkable what quality and speed the HP Latex FS70 W is producing," said UK beta customer John Mark Watson, Managing Director at John Mark Limited. "We always say that if anything needs breaking, we will break it, due to the volumes of print we put through our printers each week; however, the FS70 has proved us wrong. It can't be broken!”

To support HP’s continuous delivery model, the software releases new functionality every few weeks, helping printers to drive efficiency and revenue growth.
The latest updates to HP PrintOS Production Hub feature integration of Design & eCommerce orders, enabling centralised order intake with an order dashboard that includes incoming eCommerce orders. These updates also offer consolidated analytics and monitoring for easier access to production data and enhanced collaboration tools such as roles, permissions, comments, tags, and activity feeds, which will be available later this year. Additionally, clients can now automatically preflight file checks, assign jobs to printers, and directly connect to send the order to RIP.

These features are compatible with any printing device, which HP says collectively enhance the value of its Premium PrintOS Suite and Plus plans, ensuring customers experience daily benefits from premium access while advancing within HP’s evolving ecosystem.

The HP Latex FS70 W printer, Productivity Kit and enhanced HP PrintOS Production Hub will start selected availability on 7 November 2025, with general availability in February 2026.
