SS Signs has acquired Brisbane based Sign Mart, a respected 30-year-old company with a long-standing reputation in the signage industry.

Founded in 2006 by Steve and Selina Lambourne SS Signs has grown into one of Australia’s largest signage companies through a structured acquisition strategy focused on capability, geographic reach and technical depth.

The company’s first major acquisition was Skreencraft in 2017, a Queensland signage business established in 1972. The acquisition consolidated decades of industry experience and strengthened SS Signs’ production capacity and customer base.

SS Signs subsequently acquired Civic Media, Brand Productions and Vehicle Wraps Australia and more recently Signpower. These acquisitions added specialist expertise, skilled personnel and established client relationships, enabling the company to broaden its service offering and national footprint.

In early 2023, SS Signs expanded interstate through the acquisition of Glenbrae Signs in Victoria. This move established a permanent presence in the Melbourne market and positioned the company to better service national clients across multiple locations.

Announcing the Sign Mart acquisition, Operations Manager Luke Lambourne said “this acquisition brings together decades of experience, will deliver greater capacity, expanded capabilities and an even stronger in-house operation for clients. The acquisition builds on a solid foundation and reinforces a shared commitment to delivering the quality workmanship both businesses are known for.”

“With 30 years of legacy behind them and a united team moving forward, SS Signs and Sign Mart are focused on growth, innovation and the next chapter in their journey.”
