Spicers Australia plans to acquire  Spandex Australia

Spicers Australia Pty Ltd (‘Spicers Australia’) has announced that Spicers and the European owners of the Spandex Group intend to enter a sale agreement for Spicers Australia to acquire Spandex Australia.

Completion of the transaction is subject to execution of the sale agreement and satisfaction of customary closing conditions. The transaction relates only to Spandex Group’s Australian business;  the Spandex Group will continue its global operations across Europe and the US.

Both the Spicers and Spandex businesses will continue to operate independently, as they do today, and will continue to do so after the transaction is completed. We currently expect the transaction to complete with an effective date of 1 April 2026.

“I am pleased to announce that, Spandex Australia will join Spicers’ Australian operations in 2026. Spandex have a proud history in the Australian Sign & Display industry and we all look forward to welcoming Spandex Australia employees to the Spicers Group.” said David Martin, Chief Executive Officer of Spicers Limited.

“We are confident that this acquisition will collectively enable us to better serve all customer segments, by leveraging the strengths of both teams and their highly complementary portfolios. In the coming months, delivering for our customers will remain our top priority. We anticipate sharing a further update to all stakeholders by 1 April 2026.” said Darren Milligan, Executive General Manager,  Signet and Visual Communications.
