Thursday, March 26, 2026 CWT expands into dimensional signage with Foam Cutter launch CWT Graphic Worktools has moved into the dimensional signage segment with the launch of the CWT Foam Cutter, marking a new product category for the Swedish manufacturer. The addition extends CWT’s portfolio beyond its established flatbed applicators and trimming systems, reflecting growing demand for three-dimensional signage across retail, exhibition and architectural applications. The Foam Cutter is designed to enable sign makers, print businesses and promotional product suppliers to bring foam cutting in-house, reducing reliance on outsourced services or more complex CNC-based systems. “Dimensional signage is becoming a natural part of everyday sign production,” says Markus Ryberg, CEO and Partner at CWT Worktools. “With the CWT Foam Cutter, we’re launching a new product category that helps more sign shops bring dimensional work in-house — to expand their offering, shorten lead times and deliver a premium result with confidence.” CWT positions the system as a production-ready alternative for businesses seeking to enter the segment without significant investment in larger-format routing equipment or the need for advanced operator training. Developed in collaboration with software partner SignCut, the Foam Cutter has been engineered as an integrated workflow, with hardware and software designed to work together to support consistent output. “We built the CWT Foam Cutter as a complete workflow — developing hardware and software in parallel to make results consistent and operation straightforward,” says Magnus Haugerud, Partner and Project Lead. “Together with SignCut, we’re providing a professional design-to-cut setup that reduces learning time and supports repeatable output in daily production.” Manufactured in Sweden, the system follows CWT’s established design approach, with a focus on durability, usability and workshop integration. The unit is compact and designed for low-noise operation, allowing it to be installed in smaller production environments. The Foam Cutter supports sheet sizes up to 1300 × 610 mm, with a maximum material thickness of 150 mm. It is designed to process polystyrene foam, enabling the production of dimensional letters, logo signage, retail displays, exhibition graphics and architectural elements. By enabling in-house production, the system provides operators with greater control over turnaround times, production scheduling and margins, while expanding their service offering.
