Published on: Thursday, October 31, 2024 Visual Connections First Victorian Golf Day followed by Farewell dinner for Peter Harper Following the success in recent years of its Sydney Golf Day, Visual Connections has announced it will be holding a similar event in Melbourne for the first time, followed by a special Retirement Dinner for outgoing CEO Peter Harper. The Sandhurst Golf Club will host the inaugural event on Wednesday, 20 November. Registrations will commence at 11:30 AM, and players will tee off at 12:30 PM for 18 holes of golf. The event will be played in an Ambrose-style team format, which prioritises player enjoyment over skill levels and makes it a day for golfers of all abilities. The Sandhurst Golf Club in the city’s outer bayside area is home to two of Victoria’s most highly rated golf courses. With Melbourne’s Spring weather at its very best in November, Visual Connections General Manager Sarah Moore says it’s sure to be an outstanding experience. “It’s fantastic to be bringing our popular golf day format to Melbourne for the first time, and we are looking forward to a fun day of friendly competition, with plenty of prizes along the way,” she says. “Most importantly, these events are a great chance to get together with industry colleagues and friends, so put a team together from your own business, treat your clients and build on those relationships, or simply come along, make new connections and strengthen old friendships,” she said. The event will conclude with dinner in the Club Rooms, one of Melbourne’s premier event and wedding venues. “Peter is finishing up at Visual Connections at the end of the year, so it’s a great chance for his Melbourne connections to catch up with him before then. Even if you can’t come along to play golf, please join us to celebrate Peter’s amazing achievements over his 50-year career and wish him well on his retirement,” Moore says. The day is sponsored by Platinum Sponsor HEXIS, with Gold Sponsors including Durst, Gel Events, Graphic Art Mart, ORAFOL Australia and Spicers. Currie Group is sponsoring the Drinks Cart, and the day’s Novelty Hole prizes are provided by Böttcher, Get Rigged, Labels Plus Magazine and Signarama. Contact Sarah Moore or Charly Blades on 02 9868 1577 to reserve a place or register a team.
