At the event, the company unveiled its latest range of printers designed for high-quality poster printing, direct-to-film (DTF) production, and eco-solvent outdoor signage applications. The event highlighted Epson’s advancements in precision printing technology, enhanced colour gamuts, and workflow efficiency. Epson SureColor S9160 Epson unveiled the new SureColor S9160 at the event, the first of its next generation of eco-solvent signage printers. Epson SureColor S9160 Replacing the SC-S80600 and SC-S80660L, the 64-inch SC-S9160 offers: A user-replaceable 2.64-inch PrecisionCore MicroTFP printhead with: Integrated temperature sensor Nozzle verification technology Nozzle replacement system for reliability and productivity A new 11-colour UltraChrome GS3 ink set featuring: Red, orange, and a new green Opaque white ink, allowing printing on clear and dark substrates Compatibility with various media types, including vinyl, canvas, film, wallpaper, and roll media up to 1626mm. A compact, user-friendly design, featuring: Flat-top, low-profile structure with a clear top window for easy access. Advanced auto tension control system for precise media feeding. A media lifter for simplified roll setup. A 4.3-inch tiltable touchscreen with animated instructions. Eco-conscious design, with 30% recycled plastic in its hardware and low-VOC UltraChrome GS3 inks. Flexible ink configurations, supporting 800ml or 1,500ml cartridges to reduce plastic waste. Epson Edge Print Pro RIP software and Epson Cloud Solution PORT for tracking production, costing, and efficiency. The SureColor S9160 is expected to ship in mid-2025 in Australia and New Zealand and will be demonstrated on the Epson stand at PacPrint25 (20-23 May, Sydney Showground, Sydney Olympic Park). Epson SureColor G6060 Epson SureColor G6060 Epson also unveiled the SureColor G6060, which was first reported in Image Magazine in January 2025 as its first wide-format printer exclusively designed for direct-to-film (DTFilm) production. Targeting garment creators and merchandise manufacturers, the SC-G6060 offers: Film support up to 900mm wide and 250mm in diameter for roll-based production. Auto-cutting capabilities for sheet-based prints. A 1.33-inch 8-channel PrecisionCore Micro TFP printhead, delivering: Up to 17 sqm/hr in colour + white Up to 32.6 sqm/hr in white or colour only Continuous white-ink recirculation, auto-head cleaning, and ink-less nozzle status monitoring, ensuring high-quality output with minimal waste. 1.6L UltraChrome DF ink packs are cost-effective, mess-free to load, and GOTS-approved, OEKO-TEX ECO PASSPORT certified. Epson Precision Dot image processing, delivering vibrant colours with an enhanced gamut. Minimal maintenance, requiring just a few minutes each week for smooth operation. Epson Cloud Solution PORT integration for remote monitoring and advanced reporting. The SC-G6060 includes a 5-year CoverPlus warranty, ink, and software. It will also be demonstrated at PacPrint25. SureColor P7360 and P9360 – High-Quality Poster and Fine Art Printing Epson introduced the SureColor P7360 (24-inch) and SureColor P9360 (44-inch) printers, which succeeded the popular SureColor P6070 and P8070 models. These new large-format printers feature: 2.64-inch PrecisionCore printhead for outstanding image quality at faster speeds. An expanded 10-colour UltraChrome PRO10 ink set, available in 350ml and 700ml cartridges, enhances the colour gamut and increases black density. Black Enhance Overcoat technology, ensuring improved contrast, richer blacks, and minimised gloss differential on glossy media. Dedicated Photo and Matte Black nozzles for efficient production. A 4.3-inch optical touch colour LCD, providing an intuitive user interface. Versatile media handling, including glossy, matte, bond, and specialty media up to 1.5mm thick. Spindle-less roll adapters and front operation, simplifying media loading and maintenance. Epson Cloud Solution PORT, allowing remote production monitoring on smart devices. Optional add-ons, including a SpectroProofer for colour calibration and a take-up reel for the SC-P9360 for roll-to-roll printing. These printers will be available in Australia from July 2025, with pricing to be announced closer to the release date.
