Agfa to host virtual inkjet printing event during FESPA time frame

Agfa has announced Studio 5D10, a three-day virtual event featuring broadcast sessions focused on inkjet printing in order to support printing companies worldwide through their current business challenges and help them thrive in the future. The event will run from 6 to 8 October, coinciding with the rescheduled FESPA time frame.

Studio 5D10 takes its name from what would have been Agfa’s booth number at FESPA this October. The series of targeted broadcasts focuses on market and technology trends in inkjet printing, as well as on the way printing companies can benefit from Agfa’s latest printing innovations for sign & display and industrial print applications – including high-performance large-format printers, dedicated workflow automation software and GREENGUARD Gold certified inkjet inks.

In total, the event will play host to two broadcasts per day across the three days, consisting of a mix of expert talks, user cases, background info and Q&A sessions. Each broadcast will handle a specific topic, ranging from dealing with printing corrugated from flat to finish, over growing and diversifying offset printers’ businesses with large-format inkjet printing, to made-to-measure specialty inkjet solutions – both for sign & display and for industrial applications. Focus points will be the unique power of creative print applications, the importance of perfectly matched print system building blocks, as well as different forms of smart automation options that save printing companies time and money.

“Tradeshows like FESPA and Printing United may have been postponed due to the COVID-19 outbreak, but our commitment to the printing industry stands strong,” says Tom Vermeulen, Head of Agfa’s Inkjet Sign & Display business unit.

“We want to inspire and engage printing companies. In Studio 5D10, our experts will give them an update on our offering, and discuss how it can move their businesses forward in a cost-effective way.”

All broadcasts will be streamed from Agfa’s headquarters in Belgium, in English. They will last approximately one hour each. Links to the recordings will be made available at the end of each broadcasting day.
