Published on: Tuesday, March 15, 2022 Multicam Brings Precision Solutions to PacPrint As the first in-person expo for our industry in more than two years, the Multicam team is looking forward to the prospect of exhibiting at PacPrint, with the company’s Stephen Heusz saying the team is excited to be part of the trade show circuit again. “At Multicam, we believe that industry trade shows, such as PacPrint, Visual Impact and Label & Packaging expos provide a valuable opportunity for us to engage with all members of these vital industry sectors and allow us to showcase our products and services in a unique and engaging manner,” he says. “It’s also great to be able to connect with many of our clients and industry partners.” Multicam CNC Cutting machines are used by sign and display companies to manufacture cut out designs, POS displays, 3D textured panels and other components in all types of sign manufacture materials, including MDF, timber, acrylic, composite panel, corflute, X-Board, Signfoam, aluminium and engraving materials. Heusz says all Multicam machines include 3D capability and integrate with all popular software packages such as Adobe Illustrator, FlexiSign, Enroute, CorelDraw! and FlexiSign. “We’ll have a range of machines on display, which are sure to provide solutions for every manufacturer,” he says. “You’ll be able to see demonstrations of just how versatile these ‘big-on-features’ CNC routers are and why they have become the trusted standard for sign and display companies requiring a machine that is both robust and user-friendly.” All machines can be supplied with options such as oscillating knife heads, creasing attachments, misting lubricators and camera recognition systems to make the production of signage and point-of-sale displays simple and economical. Machines are also available in a range of sizes and configurations. “Our Trident triple head cutting machine that incorporates a heavy-duty router, oscillating knife, tangential knife and camera recognition system will also be on display,” Heusz says, calling it an ‘unique and powerful machine’, which has been designed to provide high-speed machining as well as print and cut solutions for display companies where versatility and high production speeds are essential. “The Trident is an innovative hybrid CNC production system combining heavy-duty routing with fast knife cutting for processing the broadest range of materials in all print finishing, sign making, foam and graphics applications,” he explains. Popular applications include: Graphics and print finishing using print-to-cut camera recognition and multiple tools for all types of materials Point of purchase such as display stands, fixtures and fittings; cardboard cutting and creasing Aluminium composite material where the quick tool change spindle and optional automatic tool changer allow for high speed cutting and grooving of ACM and similar products Sign making including 2D and 3D signs in woods, metals, composite panel and plastics Foam packaging, gaskets and fabric processing with router and knife tools. “The Trident CNC cutting machine is unique because it combines three different cutting technologies combined with camera recognition to provide maximum versatility by offering a choice of routing spindle and two knives which can be either tangential, oscillating, or a combination of both,” Heusz explains. “The optional tangential knife automatic tool changer will ensure your machine keeps running without operator input – you can simply program jobs to use multiple tangential knife attachments and the Trident will automatically change tools as required.” PacPrint, Visual Impact Melbourne and the Label & Packaging Expo will be held from 28 June to 1 July, 2022 at the Melbourne Convention & Exhibition Centre.
