Tuesday, May 20, 2025 Pac Print General Formulations shine in the Spicers Precinct Spicers has made a striking impression on day one of PacPrint 2025, using its stand to showcase the depth of its portfolio with a focus on General Formulations, one of its cornerstone brands over the past three years. “General Formulations has grown into a cornerstone of the Spicers portfolio, driven by its versatility, technical performance, and the strength of its education programs,” says Wayne Hood, Visual Communications Portfolio Manager. A creatively staged café concept has been designed to highlight General Formulations’ capabilities across windows, walls, and floors. The installation serves not just as a visual centrepiece but also as a practical demonstration of the brand’s versatility and high-performance adhesive technologies. General Formulations materials are engineered for challenging applications, including surfaces with low surface energy or difficult textures. Among the featured media on display is the GF 767 Rainbow Holographic Sparkle, a vibrant, eye-catching printable film compatible with latex, solvent and UV inks. Director of Product Education for General Formulations, Jay Kroll, says, “The 767 is one of the most striking materials we’ve brought to the show—its holographic sparkle finish makes it ideal for high-impact packaging and promotional applications.” Also showcased is the high-tack adhesive range, developed for hard-to-stick applications. Available in both permanent (matte and gloss) and removable adhesives, this range includes 150-micron films for extra rigidity during installation and 85-micron films offering greater conformability, making them suitable across a wide range of graphics applications, from walls to vehicles. Rounding out the General Formulations showcase is Tedlar, a specialist anti-graffiti laminate film developed in partnership with DuPont. The film is a satin clear 1.0 mil transparent PVF coated with a solvent permanent pressure sensitive adhesive, this custom adhesive overcomes the inherent challenges of making adhesives that stick to anti-graffiti films. The product carries a 15-year outdoor durability rating and is marketed as the leading anti-graffiti solution of its kind in Australia.
