Thursday, May 22, 2025 Graphic Art Mart Turns Up the Colour at PacPrint 2025 Visitors to PacPrint 2025 have been welcomed into a vivid, high-energy experience at the Graphic Art Mart stand (B18 & B28), where colour, creativity, and cutting-edge technology converge across two interactive spaces. Designed to be as educational as it is inspiring, the stand features a mix of hands-on workshops, live demonstrations, and product showcases from leading global brands. The company’s exhibit showcases a broad portfolio of pressure-sensitive films, substrates, and application tools from Avery Dennison, Arlon, Aslan, Mactac, Chemica, Siser, and General Formulations. Complementing the media range is a suite of hardware from HP, Roland DG, Mimaki, BRM, Colex, CWT, and Keencut offering visitors a comprehensive view of end-to-end workflow solutions. A highlight on the stand is Graphic Art Mart’s full DTF (Direct to Film) printing setup. The company entered the DTF market 18 months ago with the Mimaki TXF 375 dual-head printer, supported by a custom-built powder shaker and heater. Visitors can watch live transfers printed and applied to garments on-site. Unlike DTG or HTV, DTF offers exceptional versatility, speed, and minimal manual labour, eliminating the need for cutting or weeding. DTF transfers adhere to almost all textiles, making them ideal for short runs and on-demand production. French brand Chemica’s cold-to-warm peel film and an instant-peel imported film are both featured, showcasing vivid colour reproduction and fast turnaround. “With no cutting, no weeding, and incredible uptime, DTF has become the go-to for garment decorators who need speed and flexibility,” says Peter Townsend, Business Manager from Graphic Art Mart, adding, “We’ve had customers tell us their clients are blown away by the colour and finish compared to previously outsourced transfers.” Sustainability remains a focus, transfers printed onto PET film, which is recyclable, and the shaker unit’s built-in filtration removing airborne contaminants during curing, and venting breathable air. Graphic Art Mart is also showcasing a range of finishing equipment. First is the BRM CO₂ laser cutter and engraver, designed in the Netherlands and built to deliver European quality at accessible prices. With 100W and 150W models, BRM units can cut up to 15mm acrylic, as well as materials like plastics, wood, leather, cork, and rubber. Though not suitable for cutting metals, the system can mark them using a spray and laser technique. Townsend comments, “This is the kind of kit signage professionals have been asking for, accurate, versatile, and safe, with price points that make ROI realistic.” Also on display is the Colex flatbed cutter and router. Built in the USA with a one-piece welded steel frame, the unit offers excellent routing accuracy and durability. With a conveyor table design, the cutter supports continuous jobs such as kiss-cut vinyl rolls, foam boards, coreflute, and even thick acrylics and thin aluminium. Models range from a compact 1700 x 1700 mm to the larger 1700 x 3200 mm format demonstrated on the stand. Also taking place across the Graphic Art Mart stand is its daily schedule of free, practical workshops tailored for businesses of all sizes. Visitors are encouraged to join sessions such as: Vehicle Wrapping Masterclass – Advanced trimming, tough surface wraps, and finishing tips Windows and Walls Masterclass – Brickwork, recesses, glass prep, and adhesive techniques Caldera Prime Workshop – A look at Caldera’s PrimeCenter for automated prepress workflow and media optimisation Advanced Applications with Mactac – Real-world demos on varied surfaces with hands-on guidance General Formulations: Tack It. Visitors can test application skills, view live print-and-transfer demos, and speak directly with experts from leading brands across hardware, media, and workflow software. With real garments being pressed on-site using Mimaki DTF technology and instant-peel films, attendees are encouraged to try transfers themselves and experience the vibrancy and tactile finish firsthand. Product giveaways, expert Q&A opportunities, and live demonstrations keep the atmosphere high-energy throughout the day. For many visitors, the stand doubles as both a classroom and a test lab.
