Tuesday, January 20, 2026 ASGA releases provisional entry categories for the National Sign & Graphics Awards The biennial National Sign & Graphics Awards mark the 20th Anniversary of the industry’s Awards for Excellence, with the competition expected to attract hundreds of entries from around the country, spanning everything from printed banners, soft signage, and vehicle wraps to fabricated, illuminated, and digital signage. Entries for this year’s competition will open on Monday, 9 February, and close on 24 July. To be eligible, projects must have been completed between 25 July 2024 and 24 July 2026. Judging will be conducted by an expert Judging Panel, which will be appointed in the new year. A provisional list of categories has been released and is available for download on the ASGA website: Provisional Categories. ASGA President Mick Harrold says it’s never too early for business owners to begin preparing their entries. “Our organising committee is currently reviewing and revising the Award categories, but no matter what type of products your business produces, there will definitely be a category to suit,” Harrold explains. “If you’re interested in entering, you can start preparing immediately by identifying your best projects, gathering photos of the completed job, and pulling together all the technical specs and details, so that you’re ready to send it in in February.” As well as benchmarking work against the industry’s premier sign and graphics businesses, Harrold says entering the Awards is an opportunity to increase brand and business profile with customers and key industry connections, and to recognise and celebrate the contribution your team makes to your business's success. “In the past, entrants have also told us that assessing their work for the Awards provided a valuable opportunity to review and evaluate their business goals, standards and achievements, and became a great foundation for setting team goals and agreed performance standards for the business,” he adds. Award winners will be announced at a glittering presentation dinner, to be held at the Sydney Showground, Sydney Olympic Park, on Thursday, 3 September. “We can’t wait to see the work entered this year, and to celebrate at the Gala Awards Dinner, which will once again be a crowning celebration of our sector as industry professionals gather in Sydney from around the country for the 2026 Visual Impact Conference & Expo,” finishes Harrold.
