Published on: Monday, September 23, 2019 Enhanced wrap knowledge with Avery’s Rainer Lorez Through a series of sold-out workshops in late August and early September 2019, Avery Dennison Graphics Solutions helped Australia and New Zealand’s vehicle wrap installation community develop new skills for adjacent markets. The six workshops by Germany-based Rainer Lorz created value and learning opportunities for the community. These were tailored to enhance installation knowledge of Avery Dennison’s Supreme Protection Film SPF-XI among experienced vehicle wrap installers in Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne and Auckland. “Avery Dennison shares the passion of the professionals in the vehicle wrap installation community and we are excited to lead the path towards high quality education in this field. In these recent series workshops, we were proud to have Rainer Lorz lead our brand new series of workshops for a truly unique and inspiring experience,” said Jordan Leach, Senior Business Manager, Avery Dennison Graphics Solutions in Australia and New Zealand. Rainer Lorz, or ‘The Car Wrap Trainer’ as he is famously known as, is a much sought-after Avery Dennison Specialist Trainer based in Germany. He is one of the select few in the industry to become a member of the MOB (Masters of Branding). He is part of the Paint is Dead network and is often seen in videos on The Wrap Institute. Rainer has over 15 years specialist experience in installing Paint Protection Film (PPF), Window Tint and Traditional Pressure Sensitive Adhesive (PSA) films. “It was my first time visiting Australia and New Zealand, and I had a great experience,” said Rainer. “Special thanks to Avery Dennison Graphics Solutions Australia and New Zealand team consisting of Peter Wright and Theo Kostarakis for helping to make this happen. Also to Nick Caminiti (Exotic Graphix, Victoria), Michael Palladino (Auto Artisan, New South Wales), David Wright (The Wrap Shop, Auckland), and our distribution partners. I'm looking forward to when I can return to Australia and New Zealand again to visit my new friends. Hope to be back in 2020!” At the workshops, attendees gained invaluable experiences in sharpening their application and installation skills to help them to stand out as professionals in their industry. They benefited from hands-on application training in the use and installation of the Avery Dennison SPF-XI Supreme Protection Film, a high-quality thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU) that has a self-healing top coat designed to protect paintwork from weathering, as well as insect stains, stone chips and road debris. The attendees received an extensive applicators pack with essential tools and were awarded an Avery Dennison Certificate of Completion.
